Charles Irvin DeShields, Sr.

Charles Irvin DeShields, Sr. passed away peacefully at his home in Norristown, Pennsylvania on June 21, 2024.
He was born on September 18, 1951, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late George Edward DeShields, Sr. and Rev. Margaret Elizabeth Burrell DeShields.
Charles was a 1968 graduate of Kennett Square High School in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and had been employed as an Electrician with the Hard Hats Corporation.
He was kind and loving. Charles loved to spend quality time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cooking on the grill, watching cartoons, socializing and going on cruises.
Charles was also an avid fan of the “DALLAS COWBOYS”
He leaves a great legacy and fond memories to be cherished by his children: Charletta Chapman (Alexander Graham), Maeling DeShields, Tiffany Sowers, Lynette Coon, Tamara Jones, Matthew DeShields, Charles DeShields, Jr. and Dawson Aaron, a host of grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his siblings, George DeShields (Sharon), Rev. Margaret DeShields Cornelius (Alan), and Catherine DeShields. He is also survived by cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two siblings: Florence DeShields and John DeShields.
